New Tractor for Public Works Department

The Town has traded in its aging 2004 New Holland tractor and purchased a new John Deer tractor! This new tractor will be the main right-of-way cutting tractor for years to come.

Our new tractor comes with many advantages as it will not require extensive maintenance for quite some time. Due to its age, our previous tractor averaged 4-6 weeks of downtime each summer for repairs. Second, the new tractor is considerably faster to drive between cuts, meaning less slowing down for drivers behind the tractor. It also features a single joystick to control the boom. This will enable the tractor to cut faster and more accurately over the old tractor which required 4 levers be operated just to control the boom. If you see our new tractor out, make sure to give our Public Works crew a wave!
