Town Manager Weekly Update – Friday, May 13, 2022

Town Manager

We are pleased to announce the Town of Nolensville has been selected by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to receive funding for the Town’s Walk/Bike Masterplan under TDOT’s Transportation Planning Grant (TGP) program.

The Town of Nolensville’s goal is to build a modern transportation system that supports all people and lifestyles.

The Town would like to personally thank Ross Muirhead for his assistance on the grant application!

Nolensville Police Department

This week, officers of the Nolensville Police Department underwent advanced first aid training as well as a DUI class taught by the local District Attorney’s office.

Nolensville Fire & Rescue

This week, Nolensville Fire & Rescue responded to 43 calls for service with the first automatic aid call to Brentwood occurring.

One volunteer fire fighter graduated from the ten-week recruit class at the Tennessee Fire and Codes Enforcement Academy.

8 members of Nolensville Fire & Rescue completed Fire Instructor 1 training.

Tuesday evening, the National Fire Sprinkler Association and Nolensville Fire & Rescue demonstrated how quickly a fire can grow in a home without a sprinkler and how sprinklers can prevent the growth of a fire. Education is key, and there’s no better way to get their message across than giving the public the opportunity to feel the heat, see the fury of fire, witness a fire sprinkler activation, and realize how quickly that same fire can be extinguished when sprinklers are present.

The department assisted Nolensville Police Department with medical training.
