The court date on your citation is a DUE DATE, not a court date. Please read the following options to satisfy your citation before the date listed.

Court dates are for NOT GUILTY pleas only. If you wish to plead not guilty and have a trial, please email the court clerk. All trials will be conducted remotely via Zoom.
Plead Guilty:
Apply for traffic school prior to due date:
If you have no moving violations and have not attended a defensive driving school within the past three (3) years, you are eligible for traffic school. You may email the clerk at court@nolensvilletn.gov to receive registration information. This will keep the violation off your driving record and insurance. The cost of the citation typically reduces to $80 and class is typically $50. (NOTE: CDL drivers are NOT eligible for traffic school).
Pay citation prior to due date:
If you are not eligible or do not wish to complete a defensive driving class, you may pay the citation in full before the due date listed on the citation. Below are the payment options:

Non-Moving Violations:
If you received a citation for a non-moving violation that you have fixed or had proof of insurance at the time of the stop, you may email proof to the court clerk at court@nolensvilletn.gov.
*Insurance must be valid on the date of the stop for the violation to be dismissed.
Beginning 12/1/25 all non-moving citations will be dismissed at a cost of $40
(except insurance, insurance will be dismissed at no cost.) This means you must email your proof of correcting the violation, and then once the clerk has responded to your email, you will need to pay the fee for the violation to be dismissed.
If you are unable to provide proof that the violation has been corrected or you did not have insurance at the time of the stop, you may pay the citation in full before the due date listed.
