The Building Codes Department is charged with safeguarding public health, safety, and general welfare by the enforcement of building, mechanical, plumbing, and property maintenance codes. The department also reviews and issues all building, plumbing, and mechanical permits and ensures that inspected work complies with, or exceeds, the intent of the code.

In addition to inspections and permitting, the department also maintains comprehensive records including permits, applications, certificates of occupancy, plans and specification sheets. It also oversees the collection of the Adequate Facilities Tax, and the Roadway Infrastructure Impact Fees. The Town of Nolensville has adopted the 2024 I-Codes.

Construction Hours

  • Monday- Saturday 7am-7pm (or dark, whichever occurs first)

  • Sunday 9am-7pm (or dark, whichever occurs first)

Payments can be made in person with check or credit/debit card or by phone with a credit/debit card. We do not accept cash. Please note: To ensure that payment is processed in a timely manner, payments need to be made before 2:00 pm each day.
