Christmas shopping is in full swing! Parking lots & crosswalks are the most common shared spaces for motorists and pedestrians.
Drivers: Slow down in busy parking lots during holiday shopping times. No phones in the driver's seat.
Pedestrians: Never assume a motorist sees you before entering the roadway. Avoid phone use while crossing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nolensville, TN – (December 5th, 2024) The Nolensville Police Department is proud to announce a significant boost to its emergency response efforts, thanks to a generous donation from HCA Healthcare. Recognizing an increase in heart-related medical emergencies within our community, the department conducted a thorough review of its equipment and resources, identifying the need for enhanced life-saving tools.
In response, HCA Healthcare donated 20 Bag Valve Masks (BVMs), empowering Nolensville officers with the critical equipment necessary to deliver life-saving care in the vital moments before emergency medical services and fire departments arrive.
“Our officers are often the first on the scene during medical emergencies,” said Chief Dale Armour. “This donation directly enhances our ability to protect and serve our residents in life-threatening situations.” Each Nolensville Police vehicle is already equipped with
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), and all officers have received training in CPR and critical care. These resources, combined with the newly donated equipment, position the department as a frontline responder in cardiac emergencies.
The Nolensville Police Department urges the community to stay informed about the signs and symptoms of heart-related emergencies. Residents are encouraged to participate in local CPR training programs, such as those offered by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association, to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to HCA Healthcare and their dedicated staff for this invaluable contribution,” said Chief Armour. “Their generosity exemplifies the strength of partnerships between healthcare providers and public safety organizations. Together,
we are making Nolensville safer and more resilient.”

The Nolensville Police Department, alongside Town leadership, participated in the University of Tennessee Law Enforcement Innovation Center Crisis Communications Symposium in Nashville on December 2-3. Representing Nolensville were Chief Dale Armour, Lt. Hale, Lt. Hofer, Town Manager Victor Lay, and Public Information Officer Brandi Najm.
This two-day event provided invaluable insights into effective crisis communications, handling major incidents, and managing day-to-day public safety messaging. Networking with fellow Public Safety Communications professionals further emphasized the critical role communication plays in building trust, transparency, and resilience within our community.
We are proud to bring back the knowledge and connections gained to strengthen our department’s commitment to serving Nolensville with excellence.

It may be tempting to go faster, turn sharper or beat another car through an intersection. Many drivers don’t realize that they are “competing for fun” with a 5,000 pound vehicle. Speeding doesn’t save time, but it does put everyone on the road into a dangerous situation.
