Warming shelters are now open at Fairview High School and Franklin High School for residents who do not have a safe, warm place to stay.
⚠️ Road conditions are hazardous. Please stay in your home unless you do not have safe heating options, or reach out to friends or family members if available. If you must travel to a shelter, use extreme caution, avoid unsafe roads, and arrange safe transportation if possible.

UPDATE | 12:55 p.m.: Town of Nolensville crews are actively working to remove downed trees across the community. Efforts are currently focused on clearing main arterial roads, with crews moving into subdivisions as conditions allow.

Safety Reminder: Residents are urged not to use alternative heating methods such as crock pots, candles, or other open-flame or non-heating devices to warm homes. These methods are extremely dangerous and increase the risk of fire.

ALERT | 8:40 a.m.: Power lines are down on Mill Creek Lane, Dortch Lane, and Stonebrook Boulevard. Middle Tennessee Electric has been notified and is reporting more than 11,000 members without power. As weather conditions continue to worsen, power outages across our area is increasing.

Residents are encouraged to be prepared with an emergency kit, including water, non-perishable food, medications, batteries, power banks, flashlights, and a first-aid kit.

ROAD CONDITIONS UPDATE: Thank you to our Public Works Department for their work to keep our roads as safe as possible. Over the past two days, crews have traveled 190 miles plowing and applying 35,000 pounds of salt to roadways.

As of 6:15 p.m., wintry mix accumulation continues, which may impact road conditions, including on treated roads. Residents are strongly encouraged to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel.

With temperatures expected to continue dropping, residents should take steps to stay warm and protect their homes, including allowing faucets to drip, opening cabinet doors to expose plumbing, and ensuring pets are indoors.

The Town of Nolensville Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, January 26, at 5:00 p.m. to appoint members to the Historic Zoning Commission. The Special Meeting will be followed by the Board of Commissioners Work Session.

In the event of severe weather, the Special Meeting, Historic Zoning Commission Meeting (originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29), and the Board of Commissioners Work Session will be rescheduled for Thursday, January 29, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The meetings will be held in the following order:

- Special Meeting
- Historic Zoning Commission Meeting
- Board of Commissioners Work Session

If there is no inclement weather and the Board of Commissioners Special Meeting is held as scheduled on Monday, January 26, at 5:00 p.m., the Historic Zoning Commission will meet at its originally scheduled time of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29.

Shout out to our Public Works Department for putting in the work to prepare for this weekend’s winter weather. All four Town trucks are fueled, equipped, and ready to begin plowing and salting early Saturday morning as conditions require.

As we head into the weekend, please keep the following safety tips in mind:

Have you registered to be an artist for Brushstrokes Across Nolensville? The Town of Nolensville’s Trails, Arts, Parks, and Streetscapes Advisory Committee (TAPS), in partnership with the Artist Guild of Nolensville, is proud to bring our public art initiative back for a second year.

Brushstrokes Across Nolensville will return with a newly curated collection of artwork and photography, showcased on vibrant vinyl banners installed along a prominent section of Nolensville Road. Each banner will feature an original piece by a Tennessee artist and will be displayed from Spring 2026 through Fall 2026, celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.

Winter weather preparation is underway in Nolensville as our Public Works Department prepares for this weekend’s projected winter storm. Crews have begun equipping our fleet with plows and salt, with more than 100 tons of salt currently on hand to support this weekend’s operations and the winter season ahead.

Road pretreatment is scheduled to begin Friday, and crews will actively plow throughout the weekend as conditions require.
