The Town of Nolensville Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, January 26, at 5:00 p.m. to appoint members to the Historic Zoning Commission. The Special Meeting will be followed by the Board of Commissioners Work Session.

In the event of severe weather, the Special Meeting, Historic Zoning Commission Meeting (originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29), and the Board of Commissioners Work Session will be rescheduled for Thursday, January 29, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The meetings will be held in the following order:

- Special Meeting
- Historic Zoning Commission Meeting
- Board of Commissioners Work Session

If there is no inclement weather and the Board of Commissioners Special Meeting is held as scheduled on Monday, January 26, at 5:00 p.m., the Historic Zoning Commission will meet at its originally scheduled time of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29.

As the Town prepares for this weekend’s expected winter weather, members of Town staff, including Nolensville Fire & Rescue, Nolensville Police Department, and Public Works, met this morning to finalize plans.

As temperatures drop, residents are encouraged to keep these safety reminders in mind:
🔹 Keep devices charged and have a backup power bank available in case of power outages
🔹 Use heaters and fireplaces safely, keeping flammable items at least three feet away
🔹 Keep buildings heated and insulate exposed pipes to protect fire sprinkler systems
🔹 Allow indoor faucets to drip to help prevent frozen pipes
🔹 Bring pets indoors and check on neighbors who may need assistance

Shout out to our Public Works Department for putting in the work to prepare for this weekend’s winter weather. All four Town trucks are fueled, equipped, and ready to begin plowing and salting early Saturday morning as conditions require.

The Town’s Snow Removal Route List covers approximately 19.7 miles and is based on roadway grade and essential connectivity. Residents can view the route list and interactive map on our website: https://www.nolensvilletn.gov/o/ton/page/public-works-faq

As we head into the weekend, please keep the following safety tips in mind:
đź”· Avoid parking on the street so plows can move safely through neighborhoods.
đź”· Stay off the roads unless travel is necessary. If you must travel, keep an emergency kit in your vehicle with blankets, water, a flashlight, and warm clothing.
đź”· Keep space heaters at least three feet away from anything flammable, and never use ovens or stovetops to heat your home.
đź”· Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and check on elderly neighbors or those without reliable heating.
đź”· Never operate a generator indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Have you registered to be an artist for Brushstrokes Across Nolensville? The Town of Nolensville’s Trails, Arts, Parks, and Streetscapes Advisory Committee (TAPS), in partnership with the Artist Guild of Nolensville, is proud to bring our public art initiative back for a second year.

Brushstrokes Across Nolensville will return with a newly curated collection of artwork and photography, showcased on vibrant vinyl banners installed along a prominent section of Nolensville Road. Each banner will feature an original piece by a Tennessee artist and will be displayed from Spring 2026 through Fall 2026, celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.

Winter weather preparation is underway in Nolensville as our Public Works Department prepares for this weekend’s projected winter storm. Crews have begun equipping our fleet with plows and salt, with more than 100 tons of salt currently on hand to support this weekend’s operations and the winter season ahead.

Road pretreatment is scheduled to begin Friday, and crews will actively plow throughout the weekend as conditions require. Residents are encouraged to follow the Town of Nolensville’s official social media channels for updates on plowed streets, potential road closures, and other weather-related impacts.
