We are pleased to welcome Matt Adams to the Town of Nolensville team as our new IT Coordinator!
Matt brings over 18 years of experience in local government and information technology, with a career that blends strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to IT security and reliable system operations. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and has served in a variety of roles throughout his career, including as a Lieutenant with Rutherford County, where he supervised personnel and managed IT operations.
In addition to his public service, Matt has owned and operated a small IT business supporting Middle Tennessee organizations with their web presence and infrastructure, and has also worked as a software engineer in the healthcare industry. Across all of his experience, he has emphasized the importance of IT security as a foundation for strong, dependable technology systems.
Matt’s connection to Nolensville makes this role especially meaningful, with close family ties to the community. He has been married to his wife, Candice, for 14 years, who has served as a teacher in both Nolensville and Murfreesboro. Together, they have three children: AJ (16), Noah (12), and Callie (5). Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and serving at One Church in Murfreesboro. He also enjoys hands-on hobbies such as drumming, woodworking, and cooking on his smoker and pizza oven, often spending his free time outdoors or at his children’s activities.
Matt shares, “With close personal connections to Nolensville, I am excited for the opportunity to serve this community. I look forward to using my experience and skills to support and strengthen government operations while helping meet the needs of residents.”
