Congratulations to the Town of Nolensville’s Finance Director Christina Merle on being recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) with its Recognition for Outstanding Public Service Award.
Now in its second year, this national honor recognizes finance professionals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to their profession, colleagues, organizations, and communities. Christina was selected for exemplifying the highest standards of public service as a subject matter expert, mentor, innovator, leader, and trusted steward of public resources.
Since joining the Town of Nolensville, Christina has played a key role in strengthening financial transparency by transforming the Town's budget process and producing five consecutive Budget Books that have each earned GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. Under her leadership, the Finance Department has replaced ordinance-based budget information with comprehensive, accessible documents that provide residents with a clear understanding of the Town's finances, reflecting an ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility and excellence in financial reporting.

🚦 Traffic Signal Update: Nolensville Road & Kidd Road 🚦
Beginning today, Thursday, July 9, 2026 the new traffic signal at the intersection of Nolensville Road and Kidd Road will operate in temporary flash mode through Thursday, July 16, 2026, to draw attention to the new signal and help drivers become familiar with the intersection.
During this time:
▪️Traffic on Nolensville Road will have a flashing yellow signal and should proceed with caution.
▪️Traffic on Kidd Road will have a flashing red signal and must come to a complete stop before proceeding when safe.
Beginning Friday, July 10, 2026, crews will begin striping the intersection as the project enters its final phase. Motorists should expect temporary lane closures, slowed traffic, and delays as this work is completed.
The traffic signal will become fully operational on Friday, July 17, 2026. Once activated:
▪️Traffic on Nolensville Road will remain green unless a vehicle is detected on Kidd Road.
▪️Vehicle detection sensors are installed on Kidd Road and will initiate a signal change when a vehicle is waiting at the intersection.
▪️Vehicles traveling southbound on Nolensville Road and turning left onto Kidd Road will yield to northbound traffic before completing their turn.
Please slow down, remain alert, follow all traffic control devices, and allow extra travel time as crews complete the final phase of this project. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this traffic improvement is placed into service.

Strong storms have caused widespread impacts across the Town of Nolensville, including flooding and numerous downed trees throughout the community.
If you encounter floodwaters covering a roadway, DO NOT drive through them. If you cannot determine the depth of the water, Turn Around, Don't Drown. Just a small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle away.
If you encounter a tree blocking a roadway, please report it to Williamson County Dispatch at 615-776-3640.
Town crews are actively responding to storm-related issues and are working to clear roadways as quickly and safely as possible. Please use caution, slow down, and allow extra travel time as conditions may change.

Beginning Monday, July 6, construction at the roundabout intersection of Kidd Road, McFarlin Road, and Battle Road will move into its next phase as crews complete paving of the the roundabout.
Work will continue throughout the week, and traffic may be reduced to one lane at times while crews complete the project. If you're traveling through the area, please slow down, stay alert for workers and changing traffic patterns, and plan for possible delays.

🕖 Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please note that all Williamson County Convenience and Drop-Off Centers are available for Williamson County residents only. A valid Tennessee driver's license displaying a Williamson County address is required.
