We want to recognize the Nashville LPD-13 Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) for volunteering at this year's Star Spangled Celebration.Â
The USNSCCÂ is a nationally recognized youth leadership program supported by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard for young people ages 10 through high school. It focuses on developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and confidence through hands-on training and structured activities. Cadets participate in regular drill weekends, summer trainings, and specialized courses in areas such as seamanship, aviation, medical fields, and STEM, all while learning the core values of honor, respect, commitment, and service. Participation in Sea Cadets does not require military service, but it provides valuable life skills and experiences that support both personal growth and future career opportunities.
