Board of Commissioner Applicants

The Town of Nolensville has received applications from six residents seeking to fill a vacancy on the Board of Commissioners, following the departure of Commissioner Cortner in June 2025. The applicants are:

• Clark A. Gray

• Robert G. Hatcher

• Heino Moeller

• Mary K. Pollreis

• Joshua A. Streufert

• David E. Windrow

The Nolensville Board of Commissioners will consider these applicants during its regularly scheduled Town Commission meeting on Thursday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Nolensville Town Hall. The meeting will include an opportunity for discussion and a formal vote to appoint one of the candidates to the vacant seat.

The newly appointed commissioner will serve the remainder of the unexpired term, which continues through November 2026, at which time the seat will be up for election during the next general municipal election.

In accordance with the Town’s Charter, within 90 days of Commissioner Cortner’s June 22, 2025, resignation (September 20th, 2025), the Board, by resolution, may either: 1) appoint an individual to serve the remainder of Commissioner Cortner’s term; or 2) call for a special election. In either case, three Board members must agree as opposed to a majority of those present.

If the Board fails to take either action by September 20th, 2025, the Mayor must notify the County Election Commission of the vacancy by September 25th, 2025.

Within ten days of receiving notice of the vacancy from the Mayor, the County Election Commission must select and publish a date for the election. The election must be held no earlier than the seventy-fifth day and no later than the eightieth day following the Commission’s receipt of notice of the vacancy from the Mayor.
