Join us Saturday, November 9th at 11:00 AM for the Veterans Day Parade. This year's Grand Marshall will be Roy Williams. Roy Williams, a distinguished veteran of the US Army and Army National Guard, proudly served from 1968 to 2008. He achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major and is honored with numerous awards and commendations for his exemplary service. His accolades include two Air Medals, the Army Commendation Medal with V Device for Valor, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Good Conduct Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Legion of Merit, and the Tennessee National Guard Distinguished Service Medal. Roy's commitment to his country and his remarkable career makes him a respected figure in our community, and we are proud to honor him during this Veterans Day Parade. The parade begins at Rolling Hills Community Church and will proceed straight down Nolensville Road, through The Historic District, and ending on Nolensville Park Road. The Town will be providing a detour for the road closures from approximately 10:45am-12:00pm. The detour route will be Rocky Fork Road to Rock Springs Road, Rock Springs Road to Fly, Fly to McFarlin, McFarlin to Kidd Road and Kidd Road back to Nolensville Road. Look for our traffic signs in and around town as well! We hope to see you there!

Finance Department
We are pleased to announce that the Town of Nolensville’s FY25 Budget Book is available for public viewing on our website. This is the 4th Budget Book published under the leadership of our Finance Director, Christina Merle, and her dedicated Finance team. Their continued commitment to fiscal responsibility and transparency ensures that our Town’s resources are managed efficiently while aligning with Nolensville’s long-term vision for growth and community enhancement. Town of Nolensville – Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax
The Town of Nolensville, in accordance with Tennessee law (T.C.A. § 67-4-1402), is authorized to levy a Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax. The Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance 21-24 to amend Title 5 of the Municipal Code to create Chapter 6, Hotel/Motel Tax in accordance with state statute. This tax applies to hotels, motels, and short-term rental units including but not limited to those booked through Airbnb and Vrbo within The Town of Nolensville.
Key Details:
Registration Required: Every person to whom a permit is issued shall always keep a standard register in which the names shall be inscribed of all guest renting or occupying a room. The register shall always be open for inspection by the Town.
Tax Rate: The privilege tax is an amount equal to 4% of the consideration charged by the operator.
Remission to Town: The tax levied shall be remitted by the operator to the Town no later than the 20th day of each month for the preceding month. The operator shall also file all required additional monthly report utilizing forms available from the Town.
Operator to Keep Records: The operator is required to keep and preserve for a period of three (3) years all records as may be necessary to determine the amount of such tax and such records shall be available for inspection by the Town.
Use of Revenue: All tax revenues will be utilized exclusively for tourism and tourism development within the Town of Nolensville, as stipulated by T.C.A. § 67-4-1403.
Short-term Rentals: For short-term rental units secured through online platforms, the tax must be collected and remitted to the Tennessee Department of Revenue.

Fire Department
Nolensville Fire is pleased to introduce a new platform called Community Connect. This platform will allow residents and business owners to provide information to Nolensville Fire that they feel is important in case of an emergency. It also has the capacity to help with obtaining burn permits, requesting inspections, and having your smoke detectors serviced.
Building Department
As we approach the colder winter months, it might be helpful to keep these home fire sprinkler guidelines in mind:
Steps to help protect your fire sprinkler system during freezing weather:
1. Program all in-home thermostats to maintain a minimum temperature of 60°F (16°C).
2. Check the heating system to make sure that it is in good working order and that it is delivering heat to all areas of the home.
3. Inspect the attic area for piping which may be susceptible to freezing temperatures. Insulation coverage between the water-filled pipes and the unconditioned area should be in place. Replace any insulation that has become dislodged, is damaged or is missing.
4. Ensure the building envelope/exterior is in good condition and close unnecessary openings, especially doors, windows, and foundation vents.
5. Identify the location of the main water shutoff valve for house. (Maintain easy access to a key for fast shutoff if needed.)
6. Identify the location of the shutoff valve for fire sprinkler system. (Maintain the proper tool or screwdriver to quickly access the panel.)

2. On the right hand side, you will see a magnifying glass icon, select it
3. Select “Quick Search”
4. Under “Address Search” enter your address numbers and select “Go”
5. The program will populate all results with those numbers. Select your address
6. Next, click on your parcel
7. At the top of the resulting page, toggle “Documents” at the top
All associated documents (usually including the plot plan) will appear. Select the desired document.

Engineering Department
Southern Land Company will be installing sewer across Baronswood Drive by open cut of road. Construction will take place from November 11th- Nov 22nd. During the day, one lane will always be open with traffic control flaggers on site. We ask for your patience as there will be some traffic delays due to equipment crossing and sewer manhole installation. At night both lanes will be open with steel plates covering excavation. The contractor will be installing temporary bypass widening of the roadway on each side at different times to allow one lane to be open.
