In 2019, the Town of Nolensville—in consultation with Volkert Inc.—began working on the first major update to the Nolensville Zoning Ordinance since 2008. This update gives the Town an opportunity to implement the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, clarify and simplify current zoning practices, and address the impacts and development and growth. The update is not intended to rezone any properties, make changes to the Zoning Map, change any currently-approved developments, or make major changes to zoning processes or procedures. The Planning Commission and Board of Mayor and Aldermen have been actively engaged in the Zoning Ordinance update process. The Town is currently soliciting stakeholder feedback on the second draft of the update. Citizens are invited to view the draft online Zoning Ordinance Update 2nd Draft and submit comments using this Public Comments online comment card. Additionally, a public open house will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Town Hall, located at 7218 Nolensville Road. Citizens will have the opportunity to discuss the update with Town staff and the Town’s consultant and to offer feedback on the proposed changes.
