Notice to Contractors of Construction Bids

 Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Nolensville, at 7218 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, TN 37135 until 2:00 PM CDT, on Friday, April 26th, 2024 and opened publicly at Nolensville Town Hall, 7218 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, TN 37135 at 2:00 PM CDT, April 26th, 2024. The reading of the bids will begin at 2:00 PM CDT.

The intersection improvements at Nolensville Road and Sunset Road involves the widening of existing Nolensville Road on the northern leg of the intersection to provide a southbound right turn lane onto Sunset Road. The project includes grading, asphalt pavement, drainage modifications, signing, pavement markings, and traffic control. All work is to take place within the existing right-of-way and the project length is approximately 0.067 miles long.

PROPOSAL CONTRACTS WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL THE TIME SET FOR OPENING BIDS
A Prime Contractor must prequalify with the Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 54-5-117 of the “Tennessee Code Annotated” and Tennessee Department of Transportation Rule 1680-5- 3 prequalification of contractors before biddable proposals will be furnished. This project is fully funded by the Town of Nolensville and has no State or Federal funds.

The Town of Nolensville will not execute any contracts or approve subcontracts with contractors that are domestic or foreign Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Limited Partnerships, or Limited Liability Partnerships, who are not in good standing with the Town (i.e. have a valid Certificate of Existence/Authorization). If a Bidder is not in good standing with the Town (i.e. have a valid Certificate of Existence/Authorization) on or before twenty-one (21) days after Proposals are opened then the Bidder will be considered non-responsive and their Proposal will be rejected.

The Town of Nolensville hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the basis of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or disability in consideration for an award.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Nolensville is soliciting responses from individuals/firms with professional qualifications and experience in providing municipal engineering services in the interim beginning tentatively in July 2024 and continuing until such time as a full-time Town Engineer is hired by the Town after which time the level of municipal engineering support services will be reevaluated and adjusted accordingly.

The project will involve the schematics design for a lean-to addition to be built on the southwest side of the existing structure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Nolensville is seeking a Statement of Qualifications from professional, qualified architectural design firms or individuals to provide Alternative Design Review Services to determine compliance of submitted development plans with the March 2023 Zoning Ordnance and Appendix C (Site Plan Review), Section 1.4.0(C)(38) of the Zoning Code, and Appendix E (Design Review Manual), or as such Zoning Ordinance and design standards are updated by the Board of Commissioners.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Town of Nolensville is accepting sealed bids for 2023 Roadway Repairs – consisting of undercutting, base failure repair, cold planing, asphalt surfacing, striping, and infrared repair.  Bids are due in before 2:00 PM. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 and will be opened promptly afterwards.

Bids must be mailed or hand delivered in a sealed envelope to:

Each envelope must be plainly marked with: “2023 Roadway Repairs”, Name of Bidder, Bidder's Address, Bidder's Tennessee License Number, Bidder's License Expiration Date, Subcontractors Name, Subcontractors TN Contractors License Number, and Subcontractors License Expiration Date.

Bidders must submit a copy of a current contractor’s license and business license, copies of liability and worker’s compensation insurance with the bid.  Bidders must be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Winning Bidder will be notified once Bids are tabulated and checked.

* If bid exceeds available funds, the Town of Nolensville reserves the right to reduce the quantities to fit available funds.  All items shall be bid with the understanding that the quantity for any item may be increased, decreased, or deleted at the direction of the engineer or the Town of Nolensville.  It is the intent to complete all work listed, but work can be eliminated or added by the engineer or the Town of Nolensville to fit available funds.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Town of Nolensville is seeking written proposals from qualified banking institutions with a full-service branch bank to submit proposals to provide depository and banking services to the Town for a three-year period beginning with the date of the award and extending through June 30, 2027. Proposals may only be submitted by banking institutions with either a federal or State of Tennessee bank charter.
