1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Chairman Joshua Hughes.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairman Hughes.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Betty Friedlander made a motion to approve the minutes from the May 30, 2013 meeting of the Historic Zoning Commission. Commissioner Wanda Barker seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

5. NEW BUSINESS
A) Certificate of Appropriateness: Ms. Laura Faulkner—7311 Nolensville Rd.—Changes/Repairs to building
Mr. Alex Marin represented the applicant. He explained the applicant would like to install brick steps to the front porch, a guard rail and a brick walkway in front of the house. He will sandblast the brick to match the original color of the house columns, and the guard rail will be painted white. Town Planner Henry Laird mentioned that the steps would need a graspable hand rail, according to code standards. Mr. Marin agreed there would be a hand rail installed.
Chairman Hughes moved to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness as presented. Commissioner Barker seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
6. OLD BUSINESS
Henry Laird mentioned that Town Staff had authorized applicant Mr. Appleton of the Waller Chapel to repaint the building the same white color since this is a minor repair.
Chairman Hughes moved to adjourn the meeting; Commissioner Friedlander seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
